Bluebirds :: May 17 – 21 :: Chickens and Plants

Hello, Bluebird Families!

This week we finished up our study of chickens. We read The Little Red Hen and a few other chicken books, played with chickens and eggs in playdough, and were so excited to pet and hold baby chicks! We will continue to love on the chicks until they are ready to go to their forever farm home at the end of our school year.

We started learning about plants. We read many books about plants to learn about their different part and how they grow. We also planted some seeds for shasta daisy and purple cone flower seeds that we will bring home soon. I hope that as your Bluebirds see their perennial flowers growing and blooming year after year in your yard that they will fondly remember their time at The Children’s Garden. We will continue studying plants through the last week of school, while also having some fun and special last few days together!
