Hello, Bluebird Families!
We have had 3 wonderful days getting to know one another, our classroom, and our routines. We have had a bit more free play time than will be usual for us, but right now we are focusing on learning how to get along and use kind words to communicate our wants and needs. You may notice some of these phrases starting to come home with your Bluebird. “Can I have a turn with that when you are done?” “Please stop. I don’t like that.” “Everyone can play the game.” “Are you ok?” “What can I do to help you feel better?” These words will help us all year long!
Thank you for sending in pictures of each child and a famiy picture! All of the family photos are on our family tree in our room. (Feel free to come in and take a look!) We love to see our loved ones’ faces smiling at us throughout the day! The children have enjoyed telling us about their families and what they were doing together the day the photo was taken.
Together we have built tall towers and train tracks spanning the room. We have cooked delicious meals in our class kitchen and taken good care of our babies and pets. We have counted to 100 several times! These Bluebirds love to count! We have started our daily calendar routine. Each week will be adding a bit more to it. For example, next week we will learn about tally marks. We have loved our outside time and enjoyed a dance party inside when it rained.
Next week, we will continue to expand out routines, adding in more math and phonics play, as well as some art! Please make sure you are signed up on Remind for our Bluebird class and the whole school, so you won’t miss out on any important announcements. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your children with me!
