Hello, Bluebird Families!
This week we continued exploring winter and snow. We used snap blocks and followed patterns to create winter items, like snowflakes, ice skates, mittens, sleds, etc. The children enjoyed this fun activity, not even aware of all the learning that was happening, like increasing fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, following directions, counting, matching, developing spatial awareness, and so much more!
The Bluebirds have been learning to tell time to the hour and half hour. We worked on a project where we matched digital and analog clocks that the children were so excited to cut, paste, color, and bring home to their families! They also enjoyed a cut, paste, and color activity of putting mugs of hot chocolate numbered 1-20 in the correct order. I loved seeing their thrill of accomplishment at successfully completing these projects!
We read lots of books about snow and winter, looked for differences between 2 snowman pictures, completed a snowman maze, and played with playdough and winter sensory bins. We even made our own mugs of hot chocolate out of paper and sang the hot chocolate song!
Thank you for sharing your children with me!
Anna
