Hello, Bluebird Families!
We made our class agreement this week. We traced our hands onto paper, decorated them, and placed them on to the agreement to show our understanding and acceptance of our 2 rules. We are safe. We are kind. We are continuing to practice helpful phrases to communicate our wants and needs in a kind, safe way.
We began learning about caterpillars and butterflies, reading about their transformation and watching it happen right before our eyes! We carefully observed 3 chrysalises and 2 munching caterpillars this week. During lunch on Friday, we were able to watch a caterpillar form its chrysalis! We will continue learning more about these amazing creatures next week. I suspect our very hungry caterpillar that was munching on milkweed for days may have formed its chrysalis over the weekend!
On Friday, we celebrated L’s birthday! He blew out candles on his builder’s birthday ring, and we all worked together to make him a birthday book. We always enjoy showing special love to the birthday child! If your Bluebird has a summer birthday, we will celebrate their half birthday at school.
Thank you for sharing your children with me!
