Hello, Bluebird Families!
I hope you all enjoyed some extra family time on Monday during our teacher work day. We missed having the children at school, but accomplished a lot of work that needed to be done. The Bluebirds had a great 4 days together.
We painted a beautiful sky that is now hanging in our classroom, directly across from our hall doorway. It makes us so happy to get lost in all the gorgeous swirls of color. It will likely become a backdrop for some future projects, but we are thoroughly enjoying it just as it is right now. Feel free to come in and take a look! We also used our cutting and gluing skills to create some amazing 3-D apples that we are very proud of!
We read several more apple books, including Ten Apples Up on Top. We used magnetic dress up people to design our own characters to carry ten apples on top of their heads. The children really enjoyed choosing different clothes, accessories, and sports equipment, as well as stacking apples in a variety of ways.
On Friday, the boys worked so hard on the playground to roll the tires over to the canoe in order to turn it into a monster truck. They cooperated very well, using trial and error and encouragement to figure out the best way to build it. Take a look at Instagram to see a picture of it! It was so fun seeing their creative minds working together to accomplish their goal!
Thanks for sharing your children with me!
