Hello, Bluebird Families!
What a fun week we had together! We created beautiful name collages, played in owl sensory bins, and made amazing watercolor owls! We read lots of books about pumpkins and fall leaves, played with fall items in orange playdough, and hammered golf tees into a pumpkin. We wrote fall words and solved a mystery picture by following directions to color certain numbers certain colors. It turned out to be a pumpkin! We also had a pumpkin building challenge using orange and green Duplos. I loved seeing all the different ways the children thought of to build a pumpkin! Then on Friday, we had our super fun fall festival! We went pumpkin bowling, played in leaves and several different sensory bins, went on a fun scavenger hunt, played pin the stem on the pumpkin, tossed beanbags into a pumpkin, and had a pumpkin hunt! We enjoyed our special day and our special snack of popcorn, fruit pumpkins, and apple cider! Thank you so much for your help bringing food items!
Next, we will be learning about artists and creating our own masterpieces for our upcooming art show! By the way, the date for the art show has been changed to December instead of November. Check our school calendar on our website or our bulletin boards for exact dates. We were feeling rushed to get ready for it in just a few weeks, but really want to allow enough time for the children to enjoy the process of creating! That is the point after all! So, we simply adjusted our schedule.
Thank you for sharing your children with me!
