Hello, Bluebird Families!
It was great to be back at school this week! The children were so excited to see each other. On Monday, we were outside on the playground and witnessed two Canadian Geese flying low over the playground! I wish I had my camera ready! They were so close! The Bluebirds said, “They sure are late flying south for the winter!”
We continued on our theme of snow. We read Under the Snow by Melissa Stewart and Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner. The children enjoyed seeing what the animals do during winter. Then we made our own over and under the snow collages. We also read some silly snow books, like There was a Cold Lady who Swallowed Some Snow by Lucille Calandro and The Jacket I Wear in the Snow by Shirley Neitzel. Each child made their own snow people collages. Someone even made a snow mermaid! We also played in some really fun snow sensory bins!
If you didn’t get to meet with me last week, but would like to discuss conference letters or anything about your child or Kindergarten, I will be available after school to chat outside on Tuesday or Thursday. Please message me to schedule a conference. If those days and times don’t work for you, just let me know. We can figure out another time to meet.
Thanks for sharing your children with me!
Anna
