We are supposed to be performing our play right now. Storyman Bob would have come in early to read a story, and then we would have walked into the big room of the church and performed a favorite story in our own way. I had been thinking that the Honeybees might write their own mash up of all of the Mo Willem stories we loved so much this year. We would have made a big collection of Piggie masks, Elephant masks, Pigeons, hot dogs, and of course a chocolate chip cookie. We would be shy… and triumphant. We would have planned a song to sing, a song so good we could have gotten you to sing along. The Honeybee class would then watch the Friendly Foxes perform their play and then the Bluebirds. Then we would sing the Garden Children song one last time for the year.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping keep this little business above water in treacherous times. We are ready to hire back our full time employees and start looking at what an even more outdoor Children’s Garden might look like in the Fall. When it is truly safe to gather we’d love to get together with you for a Garden School Reunion, maybe in a place like the Outdoor Play space at Heritage Park.
I know your children have loved having their favorite people close by, and that has been the saving grace of thinking about them.

What can I say at the end of the year that already ended. I’m so grateful for this community and the time we had together.Thank you to all the parents who brought in supplies, recycling, robot parts, and science experiments. Thank you Marci Craig for all of the music and everything we learn from you. Thank you Storyman Bob for all the books. Thank you Tried Stone Center for all of your help. I’m so grateful to our teachers, our parents, all the grandparents, and for these children. The Coronavirus can’t take that away.
Put your hands in the air Garden Children. Wherever you are we wish you well.
