Let’s learn about our brain’s today. Did you know that your brain is your boss? Where is your brain? Here’s a good overview of your brain that I think you’ll like.
You could make a brain headband for yourself, or just create a brain for your human body model. You can make a brain headband out of paper.

What would you like to make your model brain out of? Paper is fine, but you could also glue packing peanuts or other materials from around the house to create your brain shape. Here’s a template for your brain.

If you really want to go all the way with “playing” with the brain you could get a brain mold and create some fun and messy experiments and create opportunities for dramatic play. There’s a mold available from Amazon.
You could fill this with playdough and set up kitchen tools on a cookie sheet for brain surgery. You could even hide things in the brain to be discoverd….abcs…animal figures…whatever might be fun. You could fill it with ice and freeze it and then drip colored water onto it with pipettes or eye droppers. If you are feeling very creative you and your child could attempt a slime recipe that could fill this brain. Here are a few slime recipes.
Here’s a sweet action poem to copy or color and glue if you are still journaling.

Did you know that our imagination is in our brain? Harold uses his brain…and his purple crayon… to create stories.
I’m still thinking about forts and spaces for kids. This would be fun filled with books. In the Friendly Fox class Wynne makes laundry basket boats that are perfect for reading.
