I think we are going to see the sunshine today and for the next stretch of days. Are you working and playing out in your yard? The spring is the best time to be a forest maker or a flower maker. I’m missing your faces this morning, so I thought I’d show you my face.
I live in a house that is in the country. It was built 144 years ago and used to be a big farm. There are hay fields right outside my window, but I have good neighbors, and our dogs are all good friends too. At night, if the windows are open, we can hear cows and sheep. Next I’ll show you a picture of my children. They are 11, 14, and 18. Right now I can hear Ruby doing school work on her computer in her bedroom.
Did you like doing Cosmic Kids Yoga yesterday?
Who remembers this friend from last year? She is in Kindergarten now and wanted to read us a story. Would you like to read us a story? Maybe someone in your family could help you or you could read with a brother or sister. Send it to me, and I’ll share it with all of us.
I was watching this when A. sent me her elephant story yesterday, and I knew I had to share it with you. If you look at this again around dinnertime it will be dark in Africa, but you can still see the animals coming to drink at the watering hole. Why is it dark in Africa when it is still light here? Did you come to Africa Camp last summer? I think I want to do it again.
If you don’t have a milk jug this could even be a good activity on a large sheet of paper. Use a dish with a brush for the glue and provide a tray of multicolored construction paper or tissue paper.
I still want to show you more Dan Zanes songs….and oh my goodness that cardboard elephant. Make it!!!
