Let’s jump right into some bead making this morning. You need some magazines with bright shiny pictures, glue, and some drinking straws. Let’s look at some African clothes and jewelry. Some items like these might be easy to incorporate into a multi cultural dress up box.
Here’s a simples West African Mask project that you can make with glue and 2 colors of construction paper.
I was thinking about making an animal mask too, but let’s watch a short documentary about animals in Africa.
You might want to make a Lion’s mask. I like the way this one looks, but it is a little too complicated. I might use paint or paper on a cardboard round or paper plate. I really love the raffia mane, but you could certainly use paper strips.

Did you listen to Funga Alafia yesterday. It’s one of those songs that gets in your head. Have you ever heard of the word “earworm?” It isn’t a worm at all. It’s a song that gets in your head that you cant stop singing.
